Kalash Village in Birir Valley, Pakistan

Kalash, Pakistan.
The culture of Kalash people is unique and differs completely from the various ethnic groups surrounding them. They are polytheists and nature plays a highly significant and spiritual role in their daily life. As part of their religious tradition, sacrifices are offered and festivals held to give thanks for the abundant resources of their three valleys.
Kalash mythology and folklore has been compared to that of ancient Greece, but they are much closer to [Indo-Iranian pVedic and pre-Zoroastrian] traditions. Some of the Kalash people in their own traditions claim to be descendants of Alexander the Great's soldiers, however extensive genetic testing has shown no connection.

Kandol Lake, Pakistan.
6-7 hours road drive from Kalaam.

Khanpur, Pakistan.

Khanpur Dam is located on the Haro River near the town of Khanpur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, about 40 km from Islamabad, Pakistan. The adjoining Khanpur Lake is also the venue for Sarhad Tourism Corporation's annual airborne and waterborne sports gala.

Khunjerab Pass

Khunjerab Pass

The Khunjerab Pass, at 4,733 meters (15,528 feet), is reputedly the highest metaled, border-crossing in the world. Visitors are greeted with a red sign announcing 'China, drive right', and another green sign saying 'Pakistan, drive left'. A monument declares that the highway was opened in 1982 and indulges in a bit of hyperbole by saying that the pass, is at 16,000 feet (4,875 meters). On May 1, 1986, the Khunjerab was opened to foreigners for travel between Hunza and Kashgar in Sinkiang Province.

It stands over 3,000 metres [9,800 ft] above much of the glacial valley bottoms at its base. More extraordinary is the fact that it is a consistently steep pyramid, dropping quickly in almost all directions.
The north side is the steepest: there it rises over 3,200 metres [10,500 ft] above the K2 [Qogir]. Glacier in only 3,000 metres [9,800 ft] of horizontal distance. In most directions, it achieves over 2,800 metres [9,200 ft] of vertical relief in less than 4,000 metres [13,000 ft].
